Watsu Water Therapy

Watsu is more than a therapy—it’s a deeply healing experience in water, allowing the nervous system to enter a deep state of rest and repair. Watsu combines elements of shiatsu, massage, stretching, and breath awareness, all performed while floating in warm water. The recipient’s body is guided through effortless, flowing movement, allowing tension to melt away and the nervous system reset.

This beautiful practice is deeply nurturing as the water’s buoyancy removes the pull of gravity, allowing joints to decompress and the spine to unwind in ways not possible on land. Clients often report a sensation of weightlessness—not only physically, but emotionally—as if being gently returned to a primal sense of safety and wholeness.

Watsu is especially beneficial for those seeking nervous system regulation, emotional release, post-trauma healing, or simply a space to be fully supported and cared for. Sessions are intuitive, meditative, and attuned to the individual’s needs in the moment.

At Yoga on the Vine, Watsu is offered by Lora, who studied in Japan under Watsu Master Sensai Toru O. Her training and presence bring depth, integrity, and a heartfelt connection to every session.

Please note: we do not currently have a therapy pool onsite. Watsu sessions must be scheduled offsite in an appropriate location, with access to a warm pool.
